Clemson is offering a new one-day recruiting program, PEER SnapShot! The program is for high school juniors and seniors interested in in an engineering or science major and will be held on November 14.
Activities include a hands on engineering and science demonstration, a student panel, and an information session where participants will hear from representatives of Clemson's Admission and Financial Aid Offices. There is a fee of $20.00 to help cover the costs of parking on campus, meals, as well as a program t-shirt. Participants are responsible for travel to and from Clemson University. To be eligible juniors and seniors must be enrolled in a college preparatory program, and must have a grade point average at or above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students are selected on a first come, first served basis as determined by date/time of the application. Students are encouraged to sign up online - CLICK HERE! Only THREE students per school will be selected. Deadline to receive the online application is October 18, 2016. Last night GTCHS hosted Financial Aid Night with guest speaker Jeff Holliday from Clemson University. He shared with families important information about scholarships, FAFSA, and more. The National Portfolio Day Association (NPDA) was created in 1978, solely for the organization and planning of National Portfolio Days. The Association consists of representatives from regionally accredited US colleges and universities that are accredited institutional members of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and Canadian colleges and universities that are members of Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) or that hold NASAD Substantial Equivalency status. NPDA is the only organization of its kind and the membership represent the highest standard of visual arts education available in the United States and Canada.
